What is your currency? Part 2

What is your currency? Part 2

Self-Awareness of your energy flow

What is emotion? It is Energy + Motion

What is your emotional currency in your daily life? Your job? Your home? Your relationships?

  • What do you currently see in your sphere of influence?
  • What is your vision?
  • What are you aware of in your sphere of influence?
  • Are you creating a world of lack or abundance through your words or actions or both.

In my last blog, I spent a lot of time talking about how you are spending your energy and how that energy is paying off in your life. Looking at the energy vampires, removing the dead weight and thriving in your energic currents that take you to a rejuvenation.

Let’s talk more about being self-aware of the currency in your state of being right now.

Your “Current-See”

Let’s talk about your diet. The things you are digesting, both internally through your mouth and in your home, as well as at work.  What are digesting in what you see as your reality?

One of the first questions I have, and one thing I make very clear on the front end of any coaching session, if you smoke (anything cigs, vapes, or pot) you are wasting your time on trying to figure out how to heal.  If your diet consists of large amounts of sugar, fast-foods, and alcohol, you are putting the healing process in reverse.  You have two brains, your gut, and your actual brain.  The control your mind which controls your body.

What does that have to do with Currency? If you are on autopilot just doing what the commercials tell you to do, then more than likely you are always running in circles and wasting your time and energy.  And if you are eating junk and smoking junk, more than likely you are a hot mess. It is time to dig in and figure out what is controlling your mind. Get your diet in order!

Cut the anchors (mental and literal anchors) that keep you stationary.

The reality is, if you always do what you always did, then you always get what you always got.

A few years ago, I was complaining about losing a friend and how my life seemed so “off”, then someone said to me, stop driving to work on the same route and change your routine.  If you know me, you know I gave them a funny sidewise look like, What? And sure enough, I changed my routine, and it opened the door for more time and energy on things that made me happier than staying in the same energetic pattern. I had no idea at the time, my currency was all being spent on the things in life that kept me in the rut that made me miserable.

If you want off the wheel, you must cut the anchors of the very things that hold you back to set sail into a new life and a new energetic pattern.

What are you digesting at work? At home? In your relationships (spouse and Friends)?

What are you allowing in your life? And have you recognized what it is that is anchoring you from having the life you want?

Has anyone ever said to you, “If you would just get out of your own way, your life would be so much different?” Did you know what they mean?

Second, are you spending a lot of time planning on how you will use your energy each day? If so, why?

I did it for years.  I spend a lot of time taking each day and breaking it down to figure out how I would make it home.  When I finally realized what I was doing, I started breaking down what was happening in my life and in my diet to understand what I needed to change.

Breaking down your patterns based on your schedule is enlightening, because you really have a chance to see how you are spending time, either wasting it or using it wisely. I can say that I have found more time each opportunity I get to really zero in on why I am not moving forward once I pay attention to the things in my schedule holding me back.

And the last piece on part 2, what are you telling yourself about who you are?

Language internally and externally shapes the currency of who we are, and how we are perceived.

Flip the table and look at your life from the 30,000-foot view. Look at your patterns of where you put your energy and walk it backwards.  What words are you using to describe your life?

For example, in the middle of the afternoon as your day is progressing, what are you telling yourself about you?

Do the words – “I am Tired” come out of your mouth? If so, then you are.

Flip the switch and say – My day is amazing because I have achieved so much, tonight when it is time for bed I will sleep well because of my accomplishments. Give your mind the opportunity to engage in joy rather than feeling like you are dragging around a bowling ball all day.

My advice, take inventory of where your currency goes through the day. Write down three areas where you would like to focus and begin each day in your journal writing about what patterns are in motion, are they patterns you like? If not, what are? What anchors of energy are draining you? Who is using the most amount of your energy and what can you do to pull that anchor up? Or does it need to be cut?

I hope this helps, more to come on your energetic currency.
