I used to think the people on the pages of magazines were healthy, then I came to realize that is not what healthy looks like. Not everyone will be the same shape and size when they are healthy. The key is to live your life and digest life in a healthy way. It isn’t just about what you eat, but what you take in your environment (people, places, and surroundings), your mouth (food and words) as well as in your life in general. Nutrition science will always be ever changing, learning what is best for you isn’t a stamped-out template. Functional nutrition is the holistic approach to life, taking into consideration one’s lifestyle factors that could affect their food choices, such as activity levels, environment, or the presence of chronic disease.
Master what you say and put into the world and you will change your life!
Do you feel like you know what you want out of life but no matter how hard you try to achieve even the smallest things you are not getting to the outcome you are striving for? But have you really made the choice to receive?
Internal conflict and subconscious beliefs cause roadblocks you may not be aware of. We can decode the messages of your body to:
Breathwork is the active form of consciously working your breath to bypass the mind and enter a different state of awareness. This is what most people seek when meditating, and breathwork takes you to that place very quickly. The practice gives the brain’s executive functioning something to focus on, so you can bypass the mental level of consciousness and drop into a deeper state of consciousness, where healing, spirit, and love reside.
There is a direct connection between psychological, emotional, spiritual, and physical wellbeing and the openness of breath.
Meditation is the key to organizing thoughts and feelings, learning how to reduce anxiety, decrease your heart rate, helps you concentrate, enhance psychological and emotional health, as well as help expand your mental and physical potential.
As a driven type “A” personality, my goals and achievements were all about going for the gusto. Even as a wife and mother, I had no idea that the late nights, early morning meetings, constant “go”, bad food and the never-ending workday were causing so many stacked up issues in my life.
While building my career and businesses, I forgot about me. This cost me my health and happiness for many years. I absorbed more of the bad than good and created a world I did not recognize. What I thought I was doing for good, turned out to work against me because of past trauma and programs given to me along the way. I was listening more to what the crowd was telling me I was supposed to be, rather listening to God and his plan for me and who I really am.
I struggled with doctor after doctor, programs, diets, and just about every guru I could find just to give me a few minutes to feel better and find happiness. Yet no one could pinpoint what was wrong with me. I was sick, exhausted, and miserable. I wanted answers.
Then one day, I decided to wake up from the overdrive and look for answers I could not get with any doctor or medicine. I had to find the solution to the PTSD, Anxiety, sleepless nights, fear, and illness.
I went to my knees in prayer and asked for help.
Luke 4:23 – “Physician, heal thyself”
And off on my journey of healing I went…The process was difficult, but when you really learn what disease is (dis-ease), the fight isn’t so hard because you recognize how to unwind the ties that bind. I released trapped emotions I didn’t know I was harboring, spent time every day clearing my mind and making time for me was life changing. It strengthened my spiritual life, my health, and my family. I learned to listen to my intuition, my connection to God and live my best life.
Trauma comes in all shapes and sizes, and what I learned along the way is that my true calling is to help people, to help others shave off time of trying to figure out the process and help others carve out the life they want and are destined to live. Helping others create the miracles they crave by helping unlock true potential and releasing the subconscious traps we don’t even know we have.
You deserve to live a life you love!
